Rules & Policies

  • This is a recreational land rental for hunting & fishing with 24-hour access, but it is not an overnight lodging or camping rental. We do not allow campsites on the property. NO BATHROOM ON-SITE.

  • NO CHILDREN UNDER 18.

  • You will NOT be required to meet with the owner on arrival, or use keys to access the property during your reservation.

  • You should receive a PDF of the property map, with parking and trail locations, in an email sent to you after booking. You will also receive a Permission to Enter Private Land PDF form to print, sign and take with you. This is to prove you are allowed on our property, in the potential case a state game warden asks. â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • Remember to take the Limestone Ridge Outfitters Permission slip with you prior to entering the property. This will be sent to you in an email after booking. Ohio law requires that this signed permission slip is with each hunter (signed by each hunter) prior to hunting on private land.

  • No trash must be left behind. Blind must be left the same way it was found (windows closed, door zipped closed, trash removed). $100.00 fee will be incurred if trash is left behind.

Basic Rules of Safe Firearms and Bow / Crossbow Handling

  • Treat every firearm and crossbow as if it is loaded.

  • Always control the muzzle of a gun or bolt rail of a crossbow to ensure it is pointed in a safe direction.

  • Keep the safety “on” until you are ready to shoot.

  • Take a flashlight to ensure safe travel to the blind and to provide light inside a dark blind in early morning or evening.

  • Be sure of your target and what is beyond.

  • Review site map prior to arrival and give special attention to the direction of all roads and other hunting blinds. Do NOT take any shot towards any roads (State Route 668 and Dutch Ridge Road).

  • Only hunt from your blind and do not travel around the property. Limestone Ridge Outfitters located the blinds to minimize risk and interaction between hunters while simultaneously maximizing chances of success by dedicating a feeder to each blind. YOUR BEST CHANCE OF SUCCESS AND SAFEST OPTION IS TO REMAIN IN YOUR BLIND. We understand that you may have to track wounded game. Be familiar with the location of the other blinds on the property. If you must track your wounded game close to the location of the other blinds, make the other hunters aware of your presence by calling out and letting them know you are there to avoid an accident.

  • Know your surroundings: Other hunters may be renting on other blinds. Although we ask all hunters to remain in their blinds, it’s possible that they may accidentally travel into your hunting zone. Make sure you clearly see your deer, turkey, etc. before you pull the trigger!

  • Keep your finger off the trigger until you verified your target isn’t another hunter and you are ready to shoot.
